Family Sewing Workshop: Holiday Stocking

A hands-on sewing class for kids ages 6 to 12 and a parent or other special grown-up.

Learn a skill you'll use for years to come! Enjoy a fun, beginner-friendly class where children and their grown-up learn the fundamentals of sewing while creating a project together.

Each monthly workshop features a different sewing project designed to build confidence and introduce new skills. Along the way, participants will learn sewing machine basics, safety, fabric preparation, measuring, pinning, cutting, and simple stitching techniques. Whether you've never used a sewing machine before or are looking for a fun project to learn together, this workshop is designed to help you succeed.

Participants must bring their own sewing machine in working order so they can become familiar with the machine they'll continue using at home. Fabric and any project-specific supplies will also need to be provided by participants and will be listed with each individual workshop.

Holiday Stocking Needs: 1/2 yard of open fabric for main, 1/4 yard (or fat quarter) for cuff. Make sure the cuff fabric is solid or small print!

This two-hour workshop is paced to allow plenty of hands-on practice, individualized instruction, and time to complete your project together.

Registration includes one child and one adult. Additional children may register separately if space is available.
