If you haven't voted yet, today's the day. Central Texas voters are deciding federal, statewide and local contests in the Nov. 3 midterm. In Bell County, more than 80,000 residents have already voted early, and officials expect another 30,000-plus voters today. We suggest going early and checking the county's list of polling locations first.

KWTX got a rare look Monday at parts of the county's election operation that officials said had never been opened to news media. Bell County Public Information Officer James Stafford said the final hours before Election Day are critical.

  • Situation room: staff monitor equipment at all 42 polling locations
  • Central count room: where results are processed and tabulated
  • room: reviews mail-in and provisional ballots
