- ➤ Hill Country Community Action Association delivered a turkey and fixings to more than 300 families in need for Thanksgiving—its Friends Feeding Friends program helped local residents prepare for the holiday. Killeen Daily Herald

- ➤ Amber Dankert and her daughter Brinley started Country Gourmet in Salado during the shutdown to fund their dream Europe trip and keep a family tradition alive. They deliver up to 150 home-cooked meals weekly across Central Texas & will close their kitchen the first week in December as they head for Europe. KCEN-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Temple approved a $93,500 contract with Wells Studio — a Salado gallery — to design and sculpt a statue for the Bend of the River public event property. Temple Daily Telegram
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ One horse was euthanized in Bell County — linked to a WPRA event in Waco from Nov. 5th to 9th — and at least three horses in McLennan County tested positive. The Equine Disease Communication Center reported 11 cases statewide as of Nov. 21, and the WPRA has canceled December events as a precaution. KXXV
