- ➤ Local residents in Bryan and College Station use Blessing Boxes to get or donate free essentials like food, baby formula, diapers, pet food, and school supplies with no questions asked. Wooden boxes—placed in neighborhoods, businesses, and churches—give round-the-clock aid to those in need. KXXV
- ➤ Jason Meza at the Better Business Bureau said central Texas consumers can cut up to 90% of unwanted robocalls by registering on the National Do Not Call Registry and Texas' not call list — he warned that spoofed caller IDs may hide scam calls — and advised people to block suspicious numbers. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Temple College announced a partnership with Texas A&M Central Texas to offer new four-year degree plans at its new Main Building — the facility will host expanded local educational options for students. Killeen Daily Herald
- ➤ Killeen ISD has named LaBecca Thompson as Interim Principal of Eastern Hills Middle School — she will begin on Dec. 1 and lead the school for the rest of the 2025-2026 school year. Thompson brings 39 years of education experience with 27 years at KISD. KCEN-TV
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The American Southwest Conference will add beach volleyball as a varsity sport in the 2026-27 academic year + teams from East Texas Baptist, Howard Payne, Mary Hardin-Baylor and Schreiner will compete for the inaugural championship next spring + the move makes ASC the first Division III conference to sponsor a championship in the sport.
