- ➤ United Way of Central Texas will host the 15th Annual Chrome & Carols Festival of Trees on Dec. 2nd at the Frank W. Mayborn Civic and Conference Center to support its programs—this event will include festive displays and activities designed to bring local families together during the holiday season. BUSINESS NEWS

- ➤ Gov. Greg Abbott inducted Christine A. Nix into the Texas Women’s Hall of Fame on November 6 — the honor recognizes her historic role as the first African American woman promoted into the Texas Rangers Division and her lifelong dedication to public service that began with the Temple Police Department.
