Good morning, Temple.

Jada Holcomb interviewed Nicole Johnson about her Thanksgiving meal voucher giveaway—designed to provide meal vouchers to local families—and the program is expected to launch before the holiday to help those in need.

The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program connects local donors with children in need by matching specific gift requests to eligible families in McLennan and Bell counties — donations are accepted at sites like Richland Mall and local stores — as the community prepares for Christmas. This effort aims to ensure that every child receives a gift on Christmas morning.

The city of Temple will host its fourth annual Merry + Bright Holiday Lights Tour + Contest to celebrate the holiday season, and details about the event and contest rules will be announced soon.

Killeen ISD’s board of trustees will meet on November 18 to decide which candidate will receive its allotted votes in the Tax Appraisal District election for Bell County.

The decision will play an important role in shaping the district's upcoming vote allocation.
