EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Several Central Texas school districts have changed school schedules to allow families to attend football playoff games. Bosqueville ISD and Copperas Cove ISD will start classes two hours later on Friday to let students and staff watch Thursday’s playoff game — while Temple ISD will release students early for a game against Duncanville at Panther Stadium. - ➤ Temple High School Air Force JROTC held a Pass-In-Review ceremony on Veterans Day to honor local veterans. U.S. Army veteran Tyrone Sanders was recognized for his service after he returned from his first tour overseas—his warm reception marked a change from his earlier experience. Killeen Daily Herald

- ➤ Central Texans traveling for Thanksgiving will face delays as the FAA has ordered a 10 percent reduction in flights at busy airports due to the government shutdown. Some airlines are offering refunds or travel credits and rental car companies are seeing more one-way bookings. KCEN-TV
