GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ SNAP benefits will stop on Nov. 1 because the government shutdown cut off funding for the program, affecting about 3.5 million Texans who rely on them. - ➤ Amy's House in Temple has provided housing for transplant patients since November 2020 and now also welcomes oncology patients. The home is less than one mile from Baylor Scott & White and helps patients get treatment quickly — building a support network during their fight against cancer. KXXV
