- ➤ 12-year-old Brayton White was airlifted to the hospital in September after a side-by-side accident caused a skull fracture and is now making a strong recovery thanks to support from family, friends and the local Academy football team—which honored him with helmet stickers bearing his jersey number. The community held a benefit at Seaton Star Hall on Saturday that featured live music, a cornhole tournament, a raffle and a live auction to raise funds for his medical expenses. KCEN-TV
- ➤ Temple's Covenant Lutheran Church hosted a fundraising luncheon called Best of the Wurst on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and served authentic European dishes such as German potato salad and braised red cabbage—supporting local church efforts. Temple Daily Telegram
