Central Counties Services began a new LOSS Team program to support those coping with suicide loss in Milam, Bell, Coryell, Hamilton, and Lampasas counties.

They will hold volunteer training on November 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at their Temple facility — the program aims to reduce the grief period by providing help within weeks.

Local high school football games across Central Texas moved their kickoffs today from 7 p.m. to times between 5:30 and 6 p.m. because of weather concerns to help teams and fans avoid heavy rain and lightning.
