  • National Night Out 2025 will be held on October 7 to help law enforcement and first responders build ties with neighborhood residents across Central Texas with events at parks, community centers, and block parties. Participants can enjoy activities like fire truck pulls, strongman demos, free food and music—events planned in locations such as Hewitt, Copperas Cove, West, Belton and Nolanville.  KXXV

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Temple Target, the 40,000+ square-foot store at 3550 General Bruce Drive, will get a nearly $4.2 million facelift next year as construction is expected to begin then.  Temple Daily Telegram

CULTURE NEWS

  • Salado graduates Amanda Sgobbo and Ben Wickert have had their sci-fi film 'Remember' chosen from over 2,600 entries to attend the All American High School Film Festival in New York City this month. They are raising funds to cover travel and lodging costs—each donation supports their lifelong dream.  KCEN-TV

  • Texas A&M University Central Texas is making steady progress on its new CORE Building, which will open in the coming months — the project supports the campus's expansion efforts in Temple.  Killeen Daily Herald
