- ➤ Temple Police and Temple Fire Rescue responded Monday afternoon to a reported gas leak near Jefferson Elementary (2616 N. Third Street) in Temple and officials said the situation is under control. Temple Daily Telegram

- ➤ Temple Highlighters jazz ensemble became a five-time national jazz award winner when Director Marcos Duran returned at 12:30 a.m. Friday after a football game and discovered a letter confirming the award. Temple Daily Telegram
