- ➤ Today, the Temple ISD Board of Trustees approved the district's financial rating—recognizing both veteran and new Wildcat teachers for strong classroom leadership—and announced plans to grow the ESL program. Temple Daily Telegram
- ➤ Last week, Sampson-Howard Elementary in Temple and C.H. Yoe High School Career and Technology Education Center in the Cameron district received stars of distinction for their architecture projects—recognizing their innovative design efforts. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Tuesday, the city of Harker Heights issued a boil-water notice for two streets (residents are advised to boil water before use). Killeen Daily Herald
- ➤ An Elm Mott intersection will receive safety improvements after a neighbor raised concerns about poor nighttime visibility that has led vehicles toward a ditch. County engineers said they will soon replace delineators on Half Pint Road and install a reflective double-arrow sign on Mazanec Road—steps aimed at alerting drivers to the road’s end. KXXV
