- ➤ Police said a man was hospitalized Sunday afternoon after a shooting on North Ridge Street in Lampasas—witnesses reported the suspect fled before officers arrived, and the victim was taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple as investigators noted no ongoing threat to the public. - ➤ Friends of Temple Public Library are preparing to rehome thousands of books at its annual Labor Day sale in the McLane Room—each week before Labor Day the space transforms into a treasure hunt for visitors.
