- ➤ Temple ISD Superintendent Bobby Ott was named the 2025 Key Communicator by the Texas School Public Relations Association — their highest honor for clear school messaging. Killeen Daily Herald
- ➤ Central Texas College and Texas State University announced a new partnership today to smooth transfer pathways for students seeking a bachelor’s degree+administrators signed an agreement aiming to simplify the process. Killeen Daily Herald
- ➤ Texas A and M University–Central Texas is working with Temple College and will soon offer new bachelor’s degree programs in Temple—this partnership gives local students more options for higher education. Killeen Daily Herald
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Killeen Police Department’s Homeless Outreach Team (HOT) visited the CenTex Alcoholic Rehabilitation Center (ARC) in Temple on Tuesday to support recovery efforts for veterans and unhoused residents. The center has a long history of providing treatment and transitional housing to those in need. Killeen Daily Herald
- ➤ Temple canceled its quarterly brush and bulky trash pickup plan and returned to a monthly bulk collection system—residents must call in to schedule their pickup. Temple Daily Telegram
