- ➤ A man died on August 7 after a standoff at the Temple Police Department when he pointed his pistol at officers who tried to calm him—Temple Police and the Texas Rangers are investigating the incident while the involved officers are on administrative leave. KCEN-TV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Central Texas College celebrated nearly 500 graduates during a summer ceremony on Friday evening at the Christian House of Prayer in Killeen—attendees cheered as graduates were honored for their hard work. Killeen Daily Herald
