EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Midway ISD proposes a $175.3 million bond issue to fund repairs and upgrades across its schools — officials promise it will not raise tax rates. District leaders say the measure will support facility improvements including building a new elementary school and gym expansions and is expected on the November ballot. KXXV

- ➤ A local vape shop that sells THC products filed a lawsuit against the city, police and Bell County Sheriff's Office over a June raid (dubbed an evidentiary search) that it says damaged its business. - ➤ Temple has authorized $917,400 for professional services—awarded to engineering firm Kasberg, Patrick and Associates, LP—to design 30% of the Midway Drive to Thornton Lane Corridor. Killeen Daily Herald
