- ➤ Bubba’s 33 Restaurant and the Killeen Fire Department held an all-day fundraiser Tuesday to honor the life and legacy of KFD Capt. Marvin Taylor III, who died in a crash. Killeen Daily Herald
- ➤ Belton residents are experiencing frequent water outages and boil water notices as Dog Ridge Water Supply cites aging infrastructure (dating from the 1960s) for the problems. The company has secured a $2 million loan from the Texas Water Development Board to begin repairs in the Sherwood Shores area (improvements expected to roll out gradually) as it works to fix its system. - ➤ William Janke, who survived a deadly flash flood in Kerrville, will perform at a 12-hour benefit concert at Jerry’s Place in Holland this Saturday — the event will feature nine bands playing from 12:15 p.m. to midnight and will collect donations like cleaning supplies and non-perishable items to help families affected by the floods. - ➤ Temple Police reported that an 18-wheeler hit overhead power lines on SW HK Dodgen Loop, closing all lanes until the line is safely removed + they urge drivers to use alternate routes. KXXV

- ➤ Two Amigos Auto Shop on Clay Avenue has experienced reduced customer access due to a $7.3 million city construction project—work delayed by a sewer main failure and discovered concrete-encased trolley track ties forces customers to use a small side entrance. City officials say work should finish by October—though delays may extend the project into November. KXXV
