- ➤ Temple Police identified Robert Vanpietersom — 21 — as the man killed on Wednesday when his car crashed into a concrete pillar at I-35 exit 305; his vehicle burst into flames at the scene and investigators are still looking into the cause. KCEN-TV
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Fuzzy's Taco Shop reopens in Temple on Monday, July 21 after closing because of a May 2024 tornado — the restaurant will launch a new happy hour from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily and give the first 50 visitors free tacos for a year via its Rewards app. KCEN-TV
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Temple homeowner named Dylan Martinez says his neighbor threw human poop at his vehicles for months, and even though he called the police more than 20 times with photos and videos, the officers said they do not have enough evidence for charges—attorney Jeffrey Linick said a court order in civil court might stop the behavior.
