- ➤ Local crews from Temple and Killeen are helping rescue people in Kerr County after massive flooding killed at least 27, including a 9-year-old girl — Temple Fire Rescue trained in swift water rescue was on standby Friday before being called into action Saturday; rescue operations continue. KXXV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Temple City Council approved a resolution to partner with Ceres Environmental Services to launch a citywide brush and bulk cleanup campaign on Wednesday, July 9—which will remove unwanted clutter from public areas. - ➤ The city of Temple will change its garbage and recycling schedules starting Monday to meet growing demands—officials plan to adjust services for a growing population. Killeen Daily Herald
