- ➤ United Way of Central Texas announced on Friday that its service area now covers all of Bell County + extends into Coryell County through the Killeen-Temple Metropolitan Area to provide support to more local residents. Killeen Daily Herald

- ➤ Early this morning, a Temple woman sustained major injuries when her car crashed into a concrete pillar on south I-35 and was taken to a hospital (police described her injuries as major). Killeen Daily Herald
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A grand jury indicted a man who is accused of shooting through a door—while a 47-year-old man tried to keep it from being kicked in—in north Killeen almost ten weeks ago. Killeen Daily Herald
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Thirty-one cadets graduated from Central Texas College Police Academy on Thursday after six months of rigorous training. They are now ready to serve Central Texas when assigned new duties. Killeen Daily Herald
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Temple City Hall closed early Friday when a maintenance technician spotted potential damage to an attic beam—city officials say the building remains closed pending further repairs. Killeen Daily Herald
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Sixty-five children with serious medical conditions are spending a week at Camp Dreamcatcher in Burton, where they join in activities like horseback riding and zip-lining while full medical care is provided. The camp is free for families (funded by McLane Children's Foundation) and gives kids a safe chance to be kids again. KCEN-TV
