- ➤ A judge sentenced Caysen Allison to 10 years in prison on Monday for the stabbing death of Joe Ramirez at a Belton ISD school, giving the victim’s family closure after more than three years of waiting for justice. KXXV
- ➤ A sentencing hearing is underway in Bell County for Caysen Allison, who was found guilty on April 29 of criminally negligent homicide in the 2022 stabbing death of Joe Ramirez at Belton High School — Allison faces six months to two years in jail and a ten thousand dollar fine. KXXV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Texas public school students must now keep their personal devices locked away during school hours under a new law signed today by the governor—schools have 90 days to choose either a full ban or a designated storage rule for devices that are not provided by the school. The law aims to reduce distractions and combat student addiction concerns. KCEN-TV
