ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Temple Fire and Rescue mourned retired captain Randy Smith (who died in a car crash just after midnight May 31), as social media posts and praise from Bell County Judge Larry Wilkey honored his service. KCEN-TV
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Temple Police Department and SWAT are surrounding a home at S. 25th and W. Avenue B in Temple to capture a man with a felony warrant—witnesses report a drone overhead and that officers fired tear gas at 7:34 p.m. KCEN-TV
- ➤ Temple Police Department is investigating an early morning gunfire incident on the 800 block of E-French Street where three people were injured - two were taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and one visited an urgent care with a gunshot wound to the elbow. KXXV
- ➤ Temple police said three people were treated for non-life-threatening injuries after gunshots were fired during a physical confrontation minutes before 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31 - officers later contacted the victims at a local hospital and urgent care facility. KCEN-TV
