- ➤ The City of Temple will open its Clark and Walker pools for the summer on Friday, May 31 with operations running through Saturday, Aug. 10—Clark Pool will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday while Walker Pool will operate from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Tuesday with admission at $1 for children, $2 for adults and $1 for non-swimmers. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Texas lawmakers approved a bill that makes daylight saving time permanent by creating Texas Time+ Governor Greg Abbott is set to sign it, but the change will not take effect until Congress amends the federal Uniform Time Act. KXXV
