CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Temple Police Department said one person died early Saturday morning when a speeding motorcyclist hit the back of a vehicle and went over the guardrail on Highway 36 while heading westbound; its Traffic Unit is investigating the crash. KCEN-TV

- ➤ Three hundred seventy-five students from Texas A&M University Central Texas received their degrees at the Cadence Bank Center in Belton on Saturday. Killeen Daily Herald
- ➤ Temple ISD educators were honored earlier this week by Education Service Center Region 12 — the event recognized their commitment to supporting bilingual students. Temple Daily Telegram
- ➤ Four students in the CIS program will receive new graduation clothes from a local retailer in partnership with a city council member and Communities In Schools — a gift meant to support their upcoming graduation — as they prepare for the ceremony. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Nationwide, drug overdose deaths fell 27% in 2024 because more people got access to Narcan and treatment, and Feed My Sheep is helping Temple residents recover by offering classes at its Sunrise Center and working with local rehabs such as The Hilltop Recovery+The Transformation Station.
