- ➤ The Bell County Salvation Army held a food drive last Saturday at the VFW Post 133 (1300 S. 25th St) where donors exchanged non-perishables for a barbecue meal. Many local residents supported the drive as part of a community effort. Killeen Daily Herald

- ➤ Two Temple High School business students became the first to medal at a national business leadership competition + their win marks a milestone for the school. Temple Daily Telegram
- ➤ Texas A&M University-Central Texas held its largest graduation ceremony on Saturday afternoon at the Cadence Bank Center (Belton), awarding degrees to 430 students. The spring commencement marked a milestone for the college. Killeen Daily Herald
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Temple Membrane water plant is the first in Texas to use ultraviolet light exclusively for inactivating viruses in drinking water after meeting state standards. Temple Daily Telegram
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Baylor Scott & White Research Institute announced an $18 million kidney disease study that will begin soon, and local nephrologist Dr. Tariq Shafi said the research may lead to improved kidney care for Temple residents. Temple Daily Telegram
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ The Dallas Renegades played their final home game today at Fort Hood as part of the Hats off to Heroes initiative honoring service members and their families. The fan fest created a festive atmosphere for local fans from Temple, Killeen, and Belton. KXXV
