- ➤ Longtime Belton ISD trustee Janet Leigh resigned from the school board and Bozon was named to fill the at-large position — the board will soon take further action to complete the transition. Temple Daily Telegram

- ➤ Bell County firefighters honored Captain Marvin Taylor III in a solemn procession Tuesday that traveled from Temple to Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Copperas Cove—fire departments lined I-14 overpasses as the convoy passed and local officials organized a diaper and wipes drive with a scholarship fund to support his family.
