ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Temple Fire and Rescue announced Friday that the person pulled from a house fire at 3011 Hickory Road earlier this week died from injuries sustained in the blaze. Temple Daily Telegram
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ More than 600 fifth-grade students participated in the Temple ISD annual Little Wildcat Relays at Wildcat Stadium on Friday. Temple ISD organized the event to offer competitive races that energized the students. Temple Daily Telegram
- ➤ Central Texas school districts warned parents about a dangerous TikTok trend that urges students to deliberately damage school laptops by inserting items like pencils or gum wrappers. Officials say the risky behavior can create electrical shorts that may start fires or permanently harm devices and that schools might take disciplinary action if the trend continues. KXXV

- ➤ No. 2 McLennan Softball defeated No. 12 Temple 10-2, earning them a spot in the NJCAA World Series—set to be held in Yuma, Arizona. Key plays in the early innings built their lead and sealed the win. KXXV
