- ➤ Temple Police corralled a painted horse near Central Texas Christian School on Monday morning after receiving several calls before 7 a.m. Two officers and a bystander roped the animal near FM 93 and 31st St before Animal Control transported it by trailer to a shelter where officials said it was in good health (anyone with information is asked to call Temple Police at 254-298-5500). CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Two young men were shot dead early Sunday morning near Miller Park on the north side of Temple—one victim was the son of a grieving mother. Temple Daily Telegram
- ➤ The trial of former Belton High School student Caysen Allison—accused of stabbing Joe Ramirez in 2022—kicks off today at 9 a.m. in Bell County court as law enforcement plans to present video evidence and testify. KCEN-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Temple officials are asking residents for input on a proposed I-35 expansion that will guide how motorists travel in Central Texas. Comments will be accepted until Friday—an effort to shape future traffic patterns—and residents are encouraged to share their ideas. Killeen Daily Herald
