- ➤ A local shelter in Temple changed its homeless count method after officials found discrepancies in past counts— the new procedure aims to better identify those in need of help. Killeen Daily Herald
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ An additional $3.4M was provided by the Texas General Land Office Tuesday to fund a flood mitigation project that will develop predictive water models for the Leon River and Cowhouse Creek watersheds. Led by Texas A&M AgriLife and the American Conservation Foundation, the project will use these models to help protect communities in Bell and Coryell counties — a response to severe flooding last spring.
