- ➤ On Sunday, a multi-agency team rendered safe a self-made, non-military explosive device found at a Moody residence that led to a road closure until 5:40 p.m.—first responders included the Bell County Sheriff's Office, ATFE, McLennan County Sheriff's Office, Troy Fire Department, Temple EMS and a bomb squad from Fort Cavazos. - ➤ Bell County law enforcement responded to a call at a home on the 15700 block of Willow Grove Road on Sunday just before 2:30 p.m. after an apparent explosive device was discovered and ATF officials with support from local agencies deactivated it—neighbors were alerted. KCEN-TV

GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Central Texans including Elizabeth Meigs and Rhiannon Yard oppose Senate Bill 3 that would ban THC products because they say it reduces personal freedom and limits health benefits. Meigs testified that THC products improved her quality of life while Yard noted that local businesses use strict self-regulation, and the bill now awaits action in the House after passing the Senate.
