- ➤ Temple Fire & Rescue will host the Clays for Cause Shooting Tournament on Saturday, April 5 at 8 a.m.—the event invites both experienced and beginner shooters to compete at Weber's Shooting Sports. The tournament aims to raise funds for the Rescue Elves program that gives Christmas gifts to families in need by offering a complimentary breakfast, lunch, and prizes for top shooters. KCEN-TV
- ➤ There are several community events scheduled in Central Texas this weekend—some events occurred on Friday, March 28th while others will take place on Sunday, March 30th, including Temple College Jazz Fest, Mammoths on the March at Waco National Mammoth Monument, and the 25th Annual Wildflower Arts & Crafts Festival. - ➤ Former Central Texas firefighter and veteran Kyle Steven Setterlund of Killeen was sentenced to over 100 years in prison by Bell County yesterday—charges linked to aggravated sexual assault of a child following an investigation at McLane Children's Hospital after parents reported the abuse—and he will receive credit for time served.
