- ➤ 7 Brew, a new drive-thru coffee stand, will open its first Temple location at 1918 S. 31st Street this spring and create 50 jobs. The stand will offer a wide range of unique drink combinations. KCEN-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Fort Cavazos Public Affairs announced a memorial service today at the Main Post Chapel at 1 p.m. that will feature a 21-gun salute — three rounds of seven shots that will be heard near Oveta Culp Hobby Elementary School and Audie Murphy Middle School. KXXV
- ➤ Temple City Council has obtained permission to accept pricing offers for a compressed natural gas contract at one of its facilities through 2035 — the process will help the council plan future gas capabilities. Killeen Daily Herald
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ At CEFCO TX convenience stores, customers rounded up their purchase on March 26 to help fund the American Heart Association. One location (5951 State Highway 36 in western Temple) saw extra cents add up to support heart health programs. Temple Daily Telegram
- ➤ Gov. Abbott launched a new online NARCAN locator map yesterday as part of his One Pill Kills campaign to reduce fentanyl overdoses — the interactive map does not show any locations in Central Texas. KXXV
