  • The annual Temple Community Treasures visual arts contest is calling for submissions from local artists while the City hosts a dumpster drop in Ferguson Park for residents to drop off large items (check guidelines before participating).  Temple Daily Telegram

ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Central Bell Fire and Rescue worked with Sparta and Belton fire departments to put out a shed fire today — the blaze had started as a grassfire and was quickly contained.  Temple Daily Telegram

CULTURE NEWS

  • Local groups, churches and community members are planning Easter egg hunts, festivals and family activities (April 5) at community venues to bring neighbors together for the holiday. The events are designed to create a fun and inclusive atmosphere for all.  Temple Daily Telegram
  • Bell County Museum begins its free annual spring lecture series in Belton, featuring three engaging speakers on church and state in Thomas Jefferson’s America. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Bell County Tax Office warns residents about scam texts falsely claiming unpaid violations and urging payment via questionable links— neither the TxDMV nor the office sends such messages. Residents are advised not to click links and to report suspicious texts to the proper authorities.  KCEN-TV
