- ➤ Ronald McDonald House Charities of Temple received nearly $13,000 from a community donation. Rachel Rodgers, a longtime McDonald’s employee in Belton, stepped out of her comfort zone in a purple, furry costume to help raise funds. Killeen Daily Herald
- ➤ Temple hosts several weekend events including the Petals & Pints fest in downtown, a BBQ roundup at Cadence Bank Center and a Mad Science day at the Public Library, which will feature live music and local fun. Killeen Daily Herald
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Central Texas smoke shop owners worry that the state ban on smokable hemp and THC products, effective Tuesday, Mar. 31, will cut business and prompt shops to sell off inventory including $5,000 worth at TNT Up In Smoke. KXXV
- ➤ Variety of Texas, a nonprofit charity, sold the Peaceable Kingdom Retreat Center near south Killeen to a local board for $3.3M on Thursday. The sale is expected to support the center's future programs. Killeen Daily Herald
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ The Lions Club Park Senior Center in Killeen will host its annual spring craft show on Thursday, Apr. 2, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Local senior artisans will display their handmade artwork and treasures at 1700 E. Stan Schlueter Loop, with free admission for all. KCEN-TV

- ➤ Temple Community Clinic received a $30,000 digital health grant from Meta to upgrade its education programs using new technology & university partnerships. The grant will support modernizing its health education to benefit the community. Killeen Daily Herald
