Good morning, Temple.

Temple renters worry after Rapid Recovery Towing surprised them with vehicle tows (with fees over $330) at several apartment complexes, and county Commissioner Louie Minor said officials are reviewing parking rules as residents push for clearer guidelines.

A $25.78 million project will begin next month in Temple's northside industrial complex to build a food-grade oil facility.

The construction is expected to boost local industry and support further economic growth.

Temple is hosting its fifth Black History Month ceremony — a reminder that Black history is American history and a mark of progress from a difficult past.

The event shows the community celebrating change and unity.

Ruby-throated hummingbirds begin migrating early in March from the Gulf Coast and move north following blooming flowers, so Temple residents may soon see them visiting local gardens and feeders early morning or late afternoon.

Firefighters from Robinson + Killeen + Waco and other local departments are deployed through the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System to support the Texas Panhandle amid high wildfire risk, while Robinson VFD ensures full local coverage.
