- ➤ Bell County youths enjoyed the annual fair in Belton during a noon auction that featured 220 items — from pies to rabbits — as they valued the effort put into participating. - ➤ Seven identities have been recovered at Seven Star Cemetery in Temple as the Telegram found the names of seven individuals and extra details for two others, renewing the community's link to its historic heritage. Temple Daily Telegram

- ➤ Hundreds of local students attended the 9th annual HBCU and Teen Job Fair held Saturday, Feb. 14 (organized by the Making Our Society Stronger Foundation and Killeen Independent School District). - ➤ Jan Stewart Ward, a former Temple ISD educator and now author (Every Monday: How to Thrive Your Senior Year, One Week at a Time), is donating signed copies of her book to high school seniors to help them prepare for graduation in Temple. Temple Daily Telegram
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Bell County Judge David Blackburn lifted the burn ban that had been in effect since Feb. 10 after a weekend of heavy fires — county officials said the ice storm dried tall vegetation despite moist ground and hope rain will prevent further fires. KCEN-TV
