- ➤ Bell County’s first nonprofit radio station, KTCP 98.7 FM, marked its official launch Saturday with a Family Fest held at the Frank State site in Temple. The event brought families together to learn about the station’s community mission. Killeen Daily Herald

- ➤ Students in Central Texas College’s Horticulture program are learning that food can grow in every season (even during the icy winter weather). Killeen Daily Herald
- ➤ Lake Belton High School students made history at the Unified Robotics event when freshman special education student Reese Kirkland skillfully guided their robot & helped the team qualify for the state competition. The team will now compete at the state level. Temple Daily Telegram
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Last week, Bell County emergency responders rescued a great horned owl stuck in a tree near Chalk Ridge Falls. The unusual incident shows the team’s efforts to protect local wildlife (a rare call among animal rescues). Temple Daily Telegram
