- ➤ United Way of Central Texas is seeking local volunteers to help with its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program as it prepares for the 2026 tax season. Interested community members can register soon to support free tax filing in our area. Killeen Daily Herald
- ➤ Girl Scouts of Central Texas will begin their cookie season Wednesday with a new flavor, and local stores will soon display boxes in green + yellow, red and blue to invite community members. Killeen Daily Herald
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Pep & Punch will close after serving the community for six years, with its final day set for Jan. 31 and a farewell event scheduled on Jan. 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Killeen Daily Herald

- ➤ Temple ISD celebrated school board recognition month by honoring district leaders during its monthly meeting; board members lined up to take photos and shake hands (a tradition that highlights excellence in the district). Killeen Daily Herald
